The property did not have an open plan kitchen dining living space, and a small and inefficient porch entrance. The house had small windows facing the garden and was therefore dark with a poor connection to their outstanding garden.
The solution was a single-storey extension to both the front and rear, creating an impressive entrance porch with oversized front door, coat and boot storage, and a contemporary open plan kitchen dining living space with large glazed sliding doors and a feature corner window onto the garden.
The proposal creates a contemporary, highly glazed open plan kitchen dining living space with views across the river, creates a new rear entrance with dog shower, and converts the barn into a unique home office, gym and guest suite.
